Here we offer a complete male cavebear (Ursus spelaeus). This pleistocene fossil was found in a romanian cave.
This adult animal measures about 2,20 meters. All bones are there - nothing is missing! This skeleton is a composite, meaning it is an arrangement of bones from several individuals. This is a common practice. All bones have the right size and form. Several years have gone by till all bones of the correct size and quality were present.
All bones originate from the same cave! The vertrebrae fit together perfectly, even the lower jaw fits excellent on the upper head. All teeth of head and lower jaw are original, that means no teeth from differend animals were used! Only minimum additions (mainly at the scapulae ).
