This manatee vertebra (Halitherium schinzii) was found in the oligocene sediments (Rupelium) of Eckelsheim near Alzey, Germany.
The bone is complete, it measures about 8 x 8 x 6 cm. It was broken and have been profeesionally repaired.
The location is well known for its fantastic shark teeth. Manatee-bones are really rare!
