This Metacarpal (hand bone) of a Reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) dates back to the Pleistocene age. It was found in the 1970's in a gravel pit in Eich near Worms, Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany. The bone is completely preserved and unbroken, it measures about 11 cm in length. The fossil has been covered with a thin layer of lacquer - no further manipulations! SOLD
