Elephas meridionalis jaw with tooth

This jaw fragment with tooth of the so called "Suthern Elephant" Elephas meridionalis comes from the early Pleistocene sediments of Karlsruhe in Germany.

Fossils of this species are rarely offered for sale and are highly sought after by collectors.

The fossil is unbroken - without any manipulations.

It measures about 28 x 17 x 16 cm. Due to its high age, the piece is heavily mineralized, it weighs more than 5 kilograms
