This lower jaw (left side) with two teeth from the forest rhinoceros
Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis comes from the Pleistocene deposits of
Lampertheim in Germany.
The fossil is unbroken, it measures about 30 x 11.5 x 5 cm. The bone is
heavily mineralized and weighs a respectable 1.7 kilograms.
The piece was treated to preserve it permanently, no other manipulations!
