Cave-lion shoulder blade

This is a shoulder blade bone from the cave lion Panthera leo spelaea. It comes from the Pleistocene 
sediments of a gravel pit near Bensheim in Germany.

The bone is unbroken, it measures about 10 x 7 x 5 cm.

Cave lion fossils are very rare finds and are highly sought after by collectors and museums.

The piece is in its original condition, just as found, without any manipulations.
