This is the skull and some postcranial bones from the extinct Amphib Discosauriscus. The fossil was found in the lower Permian layers of Kochov, Boscovice Furrow, Czech Republic. The age of this fossil is approximately 275 million years. It is a very exceptionally prepared fossil. The bones were completely removed from the surrounding rock and embedded in synthetic resin. This way it is possible to view and examine the very thin and fragile skeleton from all sides. Hundreds of hours of work were needed for the prepping of this one. The size of the fossil is about 6,5 x 6,5 cm.The resin blockmeasures about 9,5 x 8 x 2 cm. Unfortunately, some of the photos listed here are not perfect and are somewhat blurred. It is difficult to take pictures due to the refraction of light and the reflections of the resin. The piece looks even more spectacular with the naked eye. The bones are wonderfully preserved and even some teeth are fantastic exposed. Please note the preparation report in the photos. An unusual and spectacular fossil for the advanced collector. SOLD
