Cave bear vertebra - pathological

This vertebra from the cave bear Ursus spelaeus is a Pleistocene cave find. It was found near 
Hösch in Germany

The fossil has changed a lot due to an illness (presumably cancer). The bone is deformed 
and partially even completely dissolved.

Rarely offered piece for the scientific collection.

Unbroken, no manipulation!
