Products description
This is the left upper jaw of the forest Rhinoceros Stephanorhinus kirchbergensis. The fossil comes from the Pleistocene layers of Geinsheim in Germany. All six teeth are present, so you can study the complete toothing of these rare animals on the fossil.
The piece is unbroken, it is highly mineralized, massive, heavy (1.5 kiograms) and measures about 26 cm.
Fossils of forest rhinos are extremely rare. They are much rarer than those of Woolly Rhinos and are quite sought after by collectors and museums.
Great opportunity!
