Products description
This is an unusual and rare find. It is a spine from the primeval shark Listracanthus.
These sharks looked very unusual, the back was peppered with these "feather"-like spines (or denticles).
The fossil is completely preserved and very detailed, it measures about 2.5 cm. Both stones (positive and negative side) are unbroken,
they measure about 9 x 9 x 1 cm.
The piece comes from the Lower Carboniferous, which in itself is quite unusual for Germany.
The site is Dainrode near Frankenberg.
Well-preserved and rarely offered exhibit of unusual location.
We have only this one, don't miss it!
