Here we offer a top highlight fossil for the advanced collector.
This jaw of the Placodont Cyamodus comes from middle triassic layers (upper Muschelkalk)
of Bad Sulza / ThÃŒringen in Germany.
Placodont fossils are extremely rare to find. And remains of Cyamodus are even more rare than, for example,
finds of Placodus gigas. Every Muschelkalk collector is happy about finds of this kind and most search in vain
for all their lifes.
This piece was part of our private collection for a long time and we prepared it ourselves.
The exhibit is unbroken and measures about 6 x 3.5 x 2 cm. The larger tooth has a diameter of about 2.5 cm.
No manipulations at all!
