This lower jaw from the cave bear Ursus spelaeus dates from the Pleistocene. It was found in a cave in
the "Fränkische Schweiz" in Germany
The fossil belonged to a juvenile individual, the molar tooth is still deep in the jaw.
The jaw is unbroken and measures approximately 13.5 x 7.5 x 3 cm.
The piece comes from an old collection and has no manipulations.
