Coelacanth Osteolepis

This coelacanth Osteolepis comes from the middle devonian layers of the Orkney Islands in Scotland.

The fish is complete and exceptionally well preserved, it measures about 16 cm.

The fossil is nicely centered on the original matrix. The stone was broken once and have been
glued professionaly, it measures about 20 x 20 x 2 cm.

Museum quality top piece, no varnish and no additions!
