We are pleased to be able to offer you another top rarity for sale. It is a skull of the pterosaur
Pterodactylus. The fossil was found in the famous limestones of Solnhofen in Germany. It comes from
the Upper Jurassic (Malm) and is around 145 million years old.
The skull measures 7.3 cm. Interesting: Both jaws are completely toothed. As an “encore” there is
a fossil long-armed shrimp of the genus Mecochirus next to the skull.
We received the piece unprepared. It was preserved on two plates as a positive and negative side.
We glued both plates together and carefully prepared the fossil - the last three pictures show the
piece before preparation.
Pterodactylus finds are extremely rare and many collectors and museums dream of such an exhibit.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to add such a treasure from long ago to your collection!
