This Triassic ammonite Beneckaia buchi comes from the lower Muschelkalk layers of Bad Koesen in Germany.
Every Muschelkalk collector knows how rare such a find is - and most people are never lucky enough.
The more remarkable is this beauty. The fossil is completely preserved and is attractively located
in the center of the unbroken original matrix.
The ammoite has a diameter of 7.5 cm. The stone measures approximately 12 x 10 x 1.5 cm.
