This skeleton of Apateon comes from the Permian period of Niederkirchen (Pfalz region) in Germany. It is a well-preserved piece with beautiful contrast between the light bones and the dark matrix. The detailed preservation is remarkable, even the teeth are clearly visible. The animal is attractively placed in the middle of the stone and measures approximately 5 cm. The slab is unbroken, it measures approximately 17.5 x 13 x 1 cm. The discovery area has been under strict protection since 1986, and no new finds from there come onto the market. This piece comes from an old collection. No manipulations!
