Products description
This coelacanth Osteolepis spec. comes from the Middle Devonian layers of the Orkney Islands of Scotland. The fish measures approximately 12 cm. It is located on the unbroken original matrix, which measures approximately 17 x 9 x 1 cm. The fossil was thinly coated with colorless varnish, which can be easily removed with acetone if desired.
