Products description

We are pleased to be able to offer you another highlight of the fossil world.

It is a fish Palaeobalistum goedeli. The fossil comes from the Upper Cretaceous (Cenomanian) layers of
Hakel in Lebanon. The species has long been extinct, the fish lived around 100 million years ago.

The quality of this exhibit is impressive in several respects. It is completely preserved - mostly only
fragments of this rare animal are found. The fish is a true giant for its species; the largest measurable
distance on the fossil is an impressive 24 cm. It is located right in the middle of the original matrix.
Even soft parts have been wonderfully preserved (eye) and the typical shellcracker teeth are always popular
with collectors and museums.

The stone was broken once and has been professionally glued. It measures approximately 25.5 x 25.5 x 2 cm.

Honest piece - no manipulations!

Something like this certainly won't appear again soon - so don't wait too long.
