This fish Paramblypterus comes from the permian layers (Rotliegndes - Klauswald horizon) of Odernheim
in Germany. The age of this fossil is around 280 million years.
The animal is completely preserved and was exposed with great effort using needle preparation.
The fish measures approximately 16.5 cm.
The slab measures abot 24.5 x 16 x 1 cm. It was broken and have been professionally glued.
The discovery area has been under strict protection since 1986, and no new finds reach the open market.
The fossil offered here comes from an old collection.
