Homo neanderthalensis

This 40-50 000 year old skull was found together with the most parts of its Skeleton on the 28th of june in 1961 by Hisashi Suzuki in the Amud Cave in Israel. With its 1,80 m bodymeasure it is the biggest known Neandertal that also owned the biggest brain of all known Hominids, a loaf of 1740 cubic centimeters. Due to the growth of its sutures, he probably died at the age of 25. Unfortionately the skull base and bigger parts of the facial bones are missing, allthough they could be reconstructed. The jaws contain all 32 teeth wich are pretty small for an individual of this size. He is definitely Neanderthal but not from the "classic" type, wich the most famous finds from Europe belong to.
