This Bovidae skull was found in the early pleistocene layers of Sangiran, Java, Indonesia. The location is well known because of its Hominid findings. Fossils from this place are rarely offered and are about 900.000 to 1 mio. years old.
The size of this impressive fossil: The line between the horns measures about 74 cm, the facebone measures abou 55 cm.
The skull is complete and has only minor restaurations. The horns were broken and have been minimally repaired and the maxilla have been repaired a little bit. The fossi is heavy mineralized and like all the fossils of this location it is very heavy.
