These bones of Australopithecus afarensis were found by Donald Johanson in the year 1972 in Hadar, Ethiopia. The knee joint has been dated to 3,4 million years. Both bones belonged to one individual. Several typical structues show that Australopithecus was able to walk upright.
This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours may be a little differend than shown on the pictures. Because of the handcraft every cast is unique.
