Venus of Lespagne/Des Rideaux (Dep. Haute Garonne), France
This is one of the most interesting venus statuettes known yet. It measures 147 mm. The original statuette was carved out of a piece of Mammoth ivory. Today it is kept in the Musée de l´Homme in Paris. It was found in the year 1922 in a cave near Lespugne Haute-Garonne. It has been dated to 23.000 years.
This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours may be a little differend than shown on the pictures. The handcraft makes every cast unique.
