Cast of (the slightly deformed) skull of Kenyanthropus platyops, the "flatfaced Kenia man", that was found in 1999 at the Westbank of the Turkana Lake, north Kenia, from the Team of Meave Leakey. As it shows certain specialitys, like a flat face, a minor prognathy and upright orientated cheekbones, a new species and a new genus was defined for this find. He lived 3,5 Mio. years ago, at the same time like Australopithecus afarensis (Lucy). Because of certain similarities to the Typusfossil of H.Rudolfensis KNM-ER 1470 he is discussed of being his ancestor.
This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours might be a little differend than shown on the pictures. Because of the handcraft every cast is unique.
