Turtle egg Stylemus

This petrefied egg of the turtle Stylemus nebrascaensis was found in the oligocene sediments of Converse County, Wyoming, USA.
The age is about 33 mio. years.

The egg masures around 3 cm. It still is in the original matrix which measures about 5 x 3,5 x 3,5 cm.

It is unbroken and has no manipulations at all!
